Chris Olson has more than 25 years’ experience handling cases in state and federal court. He has represented parties “on both sides of the aisle” – individuals, insurers, businesses, and governmental entities.
Chris Olson has received numerous accolades throughout his career and is known as a lawyer who consistently exhibits patience, diligence, and empathy, as well as a solid understanding of the law. Chris graduated magna cum laude from Campbell Law School. After a clerkship with a federal judge, he worked with both small and large law firms and as a solo practitioner. He has earned the highest peer review rating of AV by Martindale-Hubbell and has regularly been recognized as a North Carolina Super Lawyer.

What is Mediation?
Mediation is an informal dispute resolution process in which the parties are aided by a neutral facilitator – the mediator.
In almost all cases in North Carolina courts, parties are required to participate in mediation before a legal dispute goes to trial. The mediator’s role is to assist the parties in their negotiations by engaging with them in an analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of both sides of the case, as well as the potential benefits of reaching some agreement on disputed issues.
The goal of mediation is to determine if the case can be resolved without the attendant risks, costs, and uncertainties of trial.
